In this Work Counts seminar, Kristina Carlsson Stylianides (Lund University) shares experiences from Sweden on the implementation of two evidence-based practices, IPS employment support and Housing First.
Kristina Carlsson Stylianides is a researcher at the School of Social Work, Lund University, Sweden. She has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Bachelor of Science in Social Anthropology and Master of Arts in Cognitive Science.
Kristina was hosted by Work Counts and the Wise Group while visiting Aotearoa New Zealand in June 2025.
About the seminar
Kristina gives a presentation based on her doctoral research, the “Take Away” study, which has focused on the implementation of Housing First and IPS in three Swedish municipalities, identifying ‘de-implementation’ efforts where needed.
Kristina’s presentation includes:
- Recurring barriers/mechanisms that generate inequality, and counteract the implementation of IPS and Housing First in Sweden
- Theoretical tools to understand such barriers/mechanisms
- A growing framework for ‘de-implementation’ – offering practical insights into transforming how we approach social and mental health work.
