It’s with great pride that we announce our strategic advisor, Dr Helen Lockett has successfully completed her doctoral thesis with the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

Her thesis focused on examining how to further improve the effectiveness of individual placement and support (IPS) employment programmes in New Zealand and overseas.

Congratulations Dr Helen Lockett. We look forward to seeing your thesis findings being used as a guide to how we can continue to improve IPS in Aotearoa and more broadly the implementation of other health and social support services.

Helen and one of her PhD supervisors, Associate Professor Geoff Waghorn, formerly Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research. Geoff is a leading expert in the science and practice of IPS employment globally. Helen was also supervised by Professor Rob Kydd at the University of Auckland.
