Webinar: New insights on IPS employment support in Aotearoa
Wednesday, 17 February at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Work Counts welcomes in the new year by inviting you to our first webinar of 2021
We are delighted to be hosting Moira Wilson, senior analyst at Insights MSD.
Moira has been leading a team of evaluators conducting an evaluation of two individual placement and support trials.
As part of that work programme, the MSD team partnered with an expert team of researchers to look at existing individual placement and support programmes already operating before the two new trials got underway. Download the report on the study.
About the study
This study examined the performance of existing individual placement and support employment support programmes and looked at how available these are across the country.
The findings lend support to efforts to expand access to individual placement and support in mental health and addiction settings and suggest individual placement and support will form a useful part of a strategy to enhance employment and wellbeing through the disruptions caused by the global pandemic.
About the presenter
Moira is a senior analyst in the Ministry of Social Development’s research and evaluation team. Moira’s research focusses on income support, employment and early intervention, with a particular interest in understanding the difference policy reforms and programmes and services make to families and children.
